Prompt: How did creating your own origin myth help you better understand why cultures use stories to explain the origins of people, places, traditions, or natural events? In your response, describe the choices you made while developing your myth and explain the lesson, value, or human responsibility you wanted your story to communicate.

Prompt Response: Creating an origin myth story can help a person understand a confusing story into an understandable one. When a person writes a fictional story/myth most would think that it had no natural events that had happened. Then they realize that ancient cultures had not just made this up for fun. That they were real things that had happened and were completely true. People would make these stories to have the big world seem small and understandable.

Summary: Today we started learning about Native American origin myths/stories.

Reflection: I liked learning about How people had lived back then. And how they wrote stories and how interesting they were and we're actually true with the elements that are in nature.
