Prompt: Talk about a time when you had to write a poem, whether it was for an assignment, event, or special occasion. What was the writing process like for you, and were you proud of the finished product?

 10/12

Prompt Response: I remember in third grade I had to write a poem and it was about my life. I remember that I had to write a haiku, so it was 575. I always thought that it was so hard making poems because I always thought that I had to rhyme. But now I’ve learned that it’s not really much about the Rhyming. It’s more about the content in itself.

Summary: Today in class we talked about poems and what it takes to build one.

Reflection: Mr. Arnold made us go over different poems and we read them aloud. We also got to watch this video on a guy walking across buildings on a tightrope. I thought it was cool cause we learned about what it truly meant.
